Sidewalks
Property owners are responsible for maintaining and clearing sidewalks adjacent to their properties.
Windrows
A windrow is a natural consequence of snow plow operations. When a snow plow passes a driveway, a windrow is created at the end of the drive way. Plows are unable to prevent this. To help reduce the impact, avoid shoveling driveway snow into the street, instead shovel snow to the sides of the driveway.
Cul-de-sacs
Large trucks plow residential streets and assist with cul-de-sacs. Because of their size, large trucks cannot plow the bulb of the cul-de-sac, so small trucks complete the cul-de-sac plowing at a later time.
Objects in Roadway
To help snow operations clear the streets effectively, park all vehicles in driveways if possible, and remove roadway objects like basketball and hockey goals or skate ramps.
Individual Snow Removal Requests
Once all major snow removal operations have been completed, crews will respond to individual snow removal requests.
