About the Olathe Building Codes Division

The Building Codes Division administers and enforces building codes and ordinances to provide safeguards for protection of persons and property for the buildings in which Olathe citizens and visitors live, work, and play.

Among the Division’s responsibilities are review of building plans for code compliance; issuing building permits; providing inspection services for buildings and building systems as they undergo construction, alteration, renovation, or replacement; and issuing certificates of occupancy upon final completion of building projects.
