All applications are first reviewed by the HR Business Partner or hiring manager that is assigned to the department the positions fall under. Applicants that appear to meet the requirements are forwarded to hiring managers for additional review and potential interviews.

Applicants may apply to another job if denied employment initially or may have three active applications on a single profile at a given time. Be sure your resume is updated and attached to all applications for review!

3. Make sure you read the requirements and expectations of the positions closely. Your resume should reflect a majority of what the position is asking for, so it may require you to update your resume.
4. Get to know your employer. Check out the City's Leadership Philosophy and get to know what the City is currently working on. This will speak volumes in your interview.
5. Be patient. It is perfectly normal to call or email about the status of your application. However, there is a lot that goes into the hiring process, and sometimes things get delayed.
