Qualifying residents 62 years and older or living with disabilities can receive snow removal assistance for their driveways and sidewalks through a volunteer program managed by the City of Olathe.
Apply for Snow Removal Assistance
Olathe residents 62 years and older or living with disabilities should contact Linda Sheldon at 913-971-8566 or LASheldon@OlatheKS.org to learn more about qualifying for snow removal assistance and submitting an application.
- Applications are processed from Nov. 1 through Nov. 30. Applications received after Nov. 30 of each year will be placed on a waiting list.
- Documentation is required for every adult living in the household to verify age (62 years of age or older) or disability (verified with a SS Disability letter, letter from a medical professional, etc.).
- Matches are based on availability of volunteers. Every effort is made to recruit volunteers to serve all qualified locations, but matches are not guaranteed.
Volunteer to Serve
Volunteer for the Snow Brigade by filling out an Individual Volunteer Application and select Snow Brigade under volunteer interests. Volunteers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult during snow removal.
