The Olathe Police Department Cadet Program is designed to provide challenging knowledge and training for young people interested in a law enforcement career. Participants receive hands on experience to prepare them for the realities of a law enforcement career.  The Cadets are given the opportunity to perform various police tasks while not being placed in dangerous situations.

The Cadets are supervised by a group of Officers known as Advisors.  Guest speakers attend meetings on topics such as firearms, K9, TSU, DUI, and Domestic Violence to teach the Cadets about their specialty within the Police Department.

Applications for the 2024-2025 session are now available below or printed copies are available at the Olathe Police Department, 501 E. Old 56 Highway. Applications can be submitted to the Olathe Police Department as soon as completed with a deadline of June 30th, 2024.
