March 30 Update
All four lanes are open to traffic with any remaining work to be completed under temporary lane reductions.
Sod is now 90% installed and crews are working to complete fencing and restoration.
Final street striping is tentatively scheduled to be complete by mid-April.
January 4 Update
All four lanes are now open to traffic on Woodland Rd after crews installed asphalt and temporary striping. Moving forward, any remaining construction will be completed under temporary lane drops. Remaining work includes:
- Streetlights
- Sidewalks
- Hawk signal installation
- Handrails
- Sod
- Irrigation
- Restoration
Final striping will be completed in the Spring when temperatures warm up!
November 20 Update
Both sides of Woodland Road have been widened, and crews will now install surface asphalt.
Medians, milling, and concrete drives are scheduled to be completed the first week of December.
Final surface pavement is scheduled for the beginning of December, weather dependent.
November 16 Update
The southbound left turn lane of S. Woodland Rd. will be closed at the eastbound K-10 ramp Wednesday, Nov. 18, through Friday, Nov. 20 for pavement reconstruction.
W. 107th St. at Woodland Rd. will be closed to traffic through the end of November. No detour will be provided.
October 31 Update
Base asphalt and curb have been installed on the east side of the road in addition to the sidewalks.
Crews are now working to complete the retaining walls on the west side of Woodland Rd. The widening on the west side is nearly complete with asphalt up to near surface.
Traffic will be switched to the newly widening east side of the road by the end of October to allow for construction activities on the west side.
Median work will begin in November.
August 18 Update
Crews continue to widen the east side of Woodland Rd. Over the next week, weather permitting, the road will receive final grading followed by the base layer of rock and asphalt.
The intersection of College Blvd. and Woodland Rd. will have a new traffic signal installed. In order to complete this task, the intersection will be switched to flashing red (during the day) in all directions. The signal will return to normal operations each evening.
Starting on Monday, August 24, the ramp from Woodland Rd. to east-bound K-10 will be closed for pavement reconstruction. This closure is scheduled to last one week, and detours will be provided.
August 14 Update
The east side of 105th St. at Woodland Rd. will be closed to traffic on Monday, August 17, to remove construction material. The closure will last for one day.
The neighborhood will have access to Woodland Rd. from 107th St.
July 30 Update
Waterline installation on the east side of Woodland Rd. is complete along with most of the storm sewer and storm crossings.
Retaining wall work is being finalized, with one wall left to start on the far north end of the project. Grading and preparation for street widening on the east side will occur over the next few days.
Following the widening of the east side of the road, crews will switch to widening the west side. The final phase of the project will be to construct the medians.
Future impacts to traffic:
- Traffic signal at College Blvd. and Woodland Rd. will be replaced.
- This will result in a short time period of a four-way stop at the intersection.
- Ramp Closure on eastbound off-ramp from K-10 to Woodland Rd. for curb and pavement work
- Closure will last approximately one week
- Scheduled closure mid-August
- Ramp Closure on east-bound on-ramp from Woodland Rd. to K-10 for curb and pavement work
- Closure will last approximately one week
