The Olathe Police Department Gang Unit provides the following services:

• Training about gang awareness and prevention for the community and the Olathe School District, including staff and students
• Assistance for outside agencies
• Coordinated efforts within the Kansas City Metropolitan area including the Metro Gang Task Force

The Olathe Gang Unit is involved in the Kansas Gang Investigators Association, a support organization providing training and correspondence between law enforcement agencies.
