The Crime Free Business Program is designed to reduce crime in and around businesses located within Olathe city limits to provide a safe work environment for employees, customers, and employers.

There are no enrollment or participation fees in the Crime Free Business Program.

Proven Strategies:
By implementing Crime Free Business strategies, businesses across the nation have reduced robberies up to 45 percent. Other violent crimes, such as assaults and batteries, have been reduced nearly 30 percent.

The Process:
There are two phases to become certified as a Crime Free Business:
• On-site security evaluation and management education, free of charge
• On-site business follow-up, free of charge

• One-on-one access to a Police Department Crime Prevention Officer
• Program tailored to specific security and safety needs
• Program materials, including employee training brochures and video, decals and manual
• Updated and ongoing information about local crime and crime prevention strategies
