The Olathe Police Department (OPD) participates in the annual Benchmark Cities Survey along with 29 other police agencies across the country.

Established by a group of police chiefs around the country in 1997, the survey compiles information about the participating agencies.

The OPD participates to measure service provided to the citizens of Olathe, compared to other participating communities.
