The Beach at Lake Olathe features locker rooms, outdoor showers, concessions by Sweet Thang, marina boat rentals, and a floating obstacle course.

Coolers with food and non-alcoholic beverages (no glass) are welcome along with beach chairs, small umbrellas and small floats.

Pets are not allowed inside the swim beach.

The swim beach is equipped with a Mobi-Mat Recpath, an ADA beach access mat, to accommodate people with disabilities, walkers or parents with strollers. The path features white stripes to also aid people with visual impairments. The swim beach is also equipped with an aqua wheelchair.

Rent canoes, kayaks, paddle boards and pedal boats from the Lake Olathe Marina!

Rental fees are $5 per 30 minutes with paid admission to the swim beach. Rental times begin when guests enter the boat. Must be at least 12 years old to rent equipment. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult to rent and use equipment.

The Aquapark is a floating obstacle course that lets you jump, play slide and swing! Life jackets are required while using the Aquapark. Lifeguards are on duty. Water depth ranges from 6-16 feet.

Aquapark use is $10/hour per user with paid admission to the swim beach.

Although lifeguards will be on duty, here are some tips to help you stay safe and keep the water safe for others:

• Shower before and after swimming
• Don't drink the water
• Don't swim if you have been ill or have open wounds or cuts
• Stay in the designated swimming area
• Obey posted signs
• Water shoes are recommended

Swim Beach Rules & Regulations

• Children ages 11 and under must be accompanied by a guardian 15 or older.
• Must be at least 15 years of age to rent canoes, kayaks, paddleboards and pedal boats.
• Swim in designated swim area only.
• Boisterousness, profanity, and roughness is prohibited within facility.
• Only Coast Guard approved life jackets allowed in the water. Non-swimmers should wear life jackets.
• Noodles, kickboards and boogie boards are not to be used as a swim aid.
• Alcohol is prohibited.
• No aluminum cans or glass allowed.
• People under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be admitted.
• Proper swimsuit attire must be worn at all times. Cut offs, thongs, t-shirts or other swimsuits determined inappropriate by management will not be permitted.
• Diapers must be changed at the diaper changing stations.
• Smoking, vaping or use of tobacco is not permitted.
• Please help keep the beach area free of trash.
• Pets are not allowed on the beach.
• Watch your children closely.
• No long underwater breath holding is allowed.
• Life jackets are required for all persons renting and using marina boats, and Aquapark users.
• No swimming or fishing off docks or boats.
• Maximum 50 occupants on Aquapark.
• Weight limit of 300 pounds to use Aquapark.
• Must be 48 inches or taller to use Aquapark.
• Swimwear with exposed zippers, buckles or metal ornamentation is not permitted on Aquapark.
• No flips or head-first entries while using Aquapark.
• If you fall off the Aquapark, climb back on at the closest entry.
• Keep the ends of the Aquapark slides clear.
• Maximum of two people on an Aquapark slide at a time.
• Aquapark slides must be ridden feet-first on your backside.
• Pregnant women or persons with heart conditions or back trouble should not use Aquapark.
• Report all injuries to a lifeguard or management on duty.
