The Retail Registration Program ensures that a business registers its Kansas Retail Sales Tax Certificate number and retail sales taxes collected in Olathe are returned to the City.

Retail Registration

• Only businesses collecting sales tax in Olathe are required to register.
• New businesses are required to register within 30 days after their first business day.
• There is no cost to register.
• Registration is one-time only.
• Re-registration is required only if the ownership or the nature of business changes.
• Penalties may be assessed upon businesses that do not register.
