Board of Zoning Appeals Application

A subset of Planning Commissioners are appointed to serve on the Board of Zoning Appeals by the Mayor of Olathe, subject to confirmation by the Olathe City Council. 

The purpose of the Board of Zoning Appeals is to receive, hear, and decide appeals to official decisions pertaining to zoning and development requirements, and to consider applications for variances.

The staff liaison is the City Planning and Development Officer, who serves as the secretary for the Board of Zoning Appeals, 913-971-8750.
