Come by this informational meeting to discuss the street improvements scheduled for next year on W. Cedar St., from Parker St. to the east end cul-de-sac at the BNSF railroad tracks.
The meeting will be an open house format with no formal presentation. The current design plans with be available for review, and representatives will be present to answer questions. Feel free to arrive at your convenience and leave once your questions have been answered.
The improvements for W. Cedar St. will replace and widen the street to 22 feet of asphalt pavement and also include:
- Subgrade replacement
- Replacement of concrete curb and gutters
- Replacement of existing sidewalk
- Installation of missing segments of sidewalk
- Replacement of driveway approaches (within the right-of-way)
- Installation of City owned streetlights
- Stormwater improvements
- Sanitary sewer improvements
Before the project begins, most private utilities will need to be relocated. These relocations are currently in design and construction will begin this winter.
There will also be improvements to Little Cedar Creek, including installation of a new box culvert and channel grading. This project is currently in design and construction will begin in the spring.
