In 1859, the Mahaffie farm produced more wheat than they needed. They are considered to be the first successful, commercial farm in Johnson County, KS.
Kansas Wheat Harvest activities may feature:
- *Horse powered wheat harvest demonstrations
- *Helping bundle wheat
- Visit the Mahaffie House
- Blacksmith and cookstove demonstrations
- *Stagecoach Rides
- Visit exhibits in the Heritage Center and Agricultural Heritage Livestock barn
- Admission includes all activities!
Admission: $7/adults, $5/children ages 5-11, children 4 and under are free. Olathe residents receive $2/off admission.
