Join us for a summer evening walk through the Olathe Memorial Cemetery.
- Discover the meaning behind the symbols found on the gravestones and find out how Victorians honored their loved ones.
- This is your opportunity to learn more about the first cemetery in Johnson County, KS to be placed on the National and Kansas Register of Historical Places.
- Cost is $5/participant and is recommended for ages eight and up. Registration required and due Monday, July 10.
- On the evening of the workshop, please park on the south side of Northview Elementary School, 905 N. Walker, Olathe, KS 66061. Please be prepared to do a lot of walking.
- This tour is different from the Fall Cemetery Tours in October. You will not meet characters, but have an opportunity to learn more about this historic cemetery.
