Boy and Girl Scouts of all levels can experience spring time on the Mahaffie farm. Scouts and their families are encouraged to visit each activity at their own pace. Each activity will have a person in 19th century clothing sharing their information. Activities may include:
- Stagecoach rides
- Sheep shearing demonstrations
- Help wash and skirt wool
- Wool dyeing demonstrations
- Visit the Mahaffie House
- See what is cooking on cookstove
- Visit the blacksmith
Two sessions are offered: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $7/scout (includes Mahaffie patch), one accompanying adult admitted free with one paid scout admission, siblings ages 5-11 are $5 and children ages 4 & under are free. Registration required and payment is due the day of your program. You may bring your own lunch to enjoy under the white tent on the Mahaffie grounds.
