It's spring on the Mahaffie Farm! April showers bring May flowers and with rain in the forecast, be sure to wear rain gear and find your boots! Many activities take place under cover, but the grounds are muddy with the recent rain. We plan shearing sheep inside the Agricultural Heritage Livestock Barn at 11 a.m. & 2 p.m.
Other activities may include:
- Dyeing wool demonstrations
- Blacksmith demonstrations - under cover
- Stagecoach rides - if lightening is present or near, the stagecoach will not operate.
- Visiting the Mahaffie House - under cover
- Visiting exhibits in the Heritage Center and baby animals in the Agricultural Heritage Livestock Barn. See how the piglets, lambs and Golden Polish chickens are doing.
- All activities included with regular site admission: $7/adults, $5/children ages 5-11, children 4 & under are free. Olathe residents receive $2/off admission
