Mahaffies' Independence Day Celebration activities may include:

• A Reading of the Declaration of Independence followed by cannon fire at 12 p.m., and 2 p.m.
• Meet Lady Columbia and Uncle Sam
• Play Vintage Base Ball at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. - Click here to review rules of the game
• Cookstove demonstrations
• Mahaffie Farmhouse open to visit
• Ice cream, root beer, and root beer floats available for purchase.
• Regular living history admission fees apply: $9/adult, $7/child ages 5 to 11, no charge for children age 4 and under. Olathe residents receive $2 off admission.
