Decorating and freshening homes, vehicles and furniture with paint is hardly a new idea. Since the days of Romans and Egyptians, paint brightened everyday objects and protected them from the elements. Following an illustrated presentation of the ways our ancestors used all manner of painted finishes, participants can decorate a small pasteboard box to take home using faux finish techniques as popular in the 19th Century as they are today. This program is recommended for ages eight and up. Cost is $5/participant and includes materials. Registration required.
