Celebrate National Drinking Water Week with the City of Olathe and WaterOne!
The third annual Tower 2 Tower 5K event supports Water for People, a non-profit that works to provide clean and safe drinking water to countries who need it most.
This year, the race provides three opportunities for participants!
- Run or walk with the entire family, or in a team, to complete the 5K.
- Cheer on your kids, ages 5-12, in the 1-mile race.
- Watch those 5 and under cross the finish line in a free short sprint.
The route takes participants from WaterOne's water tower, south on Renner to the City's north tower, and back. Educational activities about water will also be available!
Each participant will receive a reusable water bottle (5K only), t-shirt and a participation medal. Special awards will be given to the top male and female finishers overall, andthe top male and female finishers over 40 years of age. The top male and female in the 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+ categories will also receive special awards.
Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, 100% of registration fees will be donated to the non-profit Water For People!
In 2017, more than $7,100 was donated to the organization from the 5K! Thank you to all who participated!
